did you conquer
my own fears for me
or are you fear itself
so many mistook for
(answers, heaven)
but it is
Athena’s Aegis
beautiful
and deadly
so you choose
a mirror
to see a mere reflection
of what it can do
to others
but not you, not you
afraid
of stone hearts

i fill mine
with courage
so i may hold
her head amidst
the hiss of her hair
to cradle her face
and kiss her on repeat
so she closes her eyes
and my flesh remains soft

but if she decides
to open those lids
and catch me
turning before her
so be it
my hand will never let go
skin or stone
forever in my embrace
blessed to have looked at Medusa
eye to eye

  1. hello, Vivien… ikaw na ang malakas ang loob makipagtitigan kay Medusa, ahaha. sabagay, hano? shaks, madali bang mag-conquer ng fear, kapatid? masubukan munang mag-get up ng gaya ng nasa pic above, with matching dark nail polish and kahit henna tattoo lang, ahehe. shaks, baka di ako makilala ng mga tao, hihi.๐Ÿ˜‰ hello there

mahirap tumitig sa katotohanan, kapatid. nakakabato ba? hmnn, yes, pwede nga – truth makes people hard… from experience, i’ve found that most people shun inconvenient truths. kumbaga, mas okey ang truths that won’t spoil one’s appetite for breakfast, hihi.

ironically, it is mostly people who demand loudly for truths that have less capability to bear them and their consequences, parang…^^ sa blogging, medyo ganyan, yaong malalakas manawagan for personal revelations ng blogger, syang unang tumatakbo pag andyan na ang pangit or inconvenient na katotohanan, haaiist…

Shaks ate, ang dami namang natamaan sa sinabi mo na “ironically, it is mostly people who demand loudly for truths that have less capability to bear them and their consequences.”

Minsan, akala rin natin we have the full capability of bearing such truths, ‘yun pala, hanggang denial lang pala. Ikanga ng isang quote, “Oftentimes the test of courage is not to die, but to live.” It’s sometimes wiser to walk away from something we know we can’t fight or is not worth the consequences.
