08. With A Bullet

Not budging
Not giving in
This significant insignificance
And irrelevant relevance
Of beauties that had lain
Eyes wide open in your train tracks
And had watched your impending fueled wreck
Burning collisions long extinguished
Long towed
and sent to the junk shop
Widowed widows
Forgotten by the brims of glassfuls of scotch
Past participle like my own
Weathered disaster zones
Of men who never had a chance
Such interesting lesson plans
Are we to trust the fear
That comes with knowing too much
About these history book pages
Long kept in unseen cartoon boxes
For love, does it conquer all
That had ignited like something as such
Done with the was and were
Wear and never tear
The now and here.

Go. Moan. Scream. Tell me if you like it. Make some noise.
